The goal is to strengthen Iraq’s infrastructure and position the country as a regional trade and transit hub.
Infrastructure Expansion
In 2025, Iraq signed contracts for railway expansion, advanced development of Al-Faw Port, and activated Mosul International Airport. Progress continues on Karbala and Nasiriyah airports, along with the rehabilitation of Baghdad International Airport.
Routes & Development
Iraq also launched new air routes to Europe and advanced the Development Road Project connecting southern ports to northern borders.
